It's cold. I know 50 degrees doesn't seem cold but for Bay Area natives it is! My mind wanders on days like this to sunnier times...like July. I want to wear shorts and sandals and drink diet Dr. Pepper and lotion up with sweet smelling sunscreen. But reality time here...it's January so the best I can do is think of sunny things, like poppies. I created this 16x16 print from original drawings that have been scanned in and filled with color. I added many many layers to give the whole image depth and texture. This print is now available on Etsy and I have five total in this series. I'm thinking of doing nine - which would make the perfect nine-patch.
